LZ5 COSTUME/CULTURAL DAY on PhotoPeach

ANIMAL PEOPLE

We are learning to use similes in our writing so that it becomes more interesting. We made some animal books and used similes to describe ourselves, our families or our friends. We talked about what similes are and we read lots of different examples like:
  • As slippery as an eel
  • As slow as a snail
  • As slow as a tortoise
  • As slow as a turtle
  • As sly as a fox
  • As smart as an owl

  • As easy as ABC
  • As easy as pie
  • As fast as a race car
  •

  • As flat as a pancake
  • As free as a bird
  • As fresh as a daisy
  • As funny as a balloon
  • As gentle as a lamb
  • As good as gold
  • As hairy as an ape
  • As happy as a clown

THE BEST TEDDY BEAR PICNIC EVER!!!

"We had fun in the hall on Tuesday 20th September. We first made yummy sandwiches in class, then we took our picnic food to the hall. Chloe's nan made the most delicious cup cakes for us and we really enjoyed them. Madi, Mila and Myah brought some blankets for us to sit on. The blankets had teddy bears on them. When we were eating, we watched a movie about bears going on a picnic. It was exciting, fun, noisy but nice and that was the best day ever" (Words said by Jason, Andy, Karishma, Madison, Chloe, Dylan and Renee )

What an awesome experience it was to visit Howick Historical Village. We all enjoyed playing games that were played long ago, like graces, stilt walking and many more. Here are some photos that show the fun we had.
