CRICKETS COME TO VISIT

CRICKETS ARE REALLY FASCINATING AND AWESOME
HERE ARE SOME FACTS WE FOUND INTERESTING

Did you know it is the male that sings to attract a mate or to
warn other males.

The crickets are an insects related to the grasshopper.

crickets have very long antennae and long, strong back legs that help them to jump great distances

Crickets chirp by rubbing their wings together

Crickets like to eat berries, vegetables, grasses, seeds, fruits and even other insects

Did you know that crickets sense of hearing is in their knees!!!

Crickets are a good temperature reader. People know whether its hot or cold depending on the chirps crickets make.

WE REALLY ENJOYED HOLDING AND LOOKING AT CRICKETS.....BUT WE LET THEM GO SAFE AND SOUND........

Our Fantastic monarch butterflies

As we were learning about "ALL THINGS SMALL" LZ5 really enjoyed looking after some caterpillars. We watched them grow and saw one of them emerge from its cocoon into a beautiful monarch butterfly. What an awesome learning experience we had.

Jasmine thought Bumpy was just beautiful......
 "He tickles........" Karishma giggled.
 "He looks like my earring."

He has pretty colours,  thought Alisha
Troy tried making Bumpy go onto his other hand. "Mmmmm let's see if you can go onto my other hand....."
 Ashton thought Bumpy was awesome......
" He is a BUTTERFLY!!!!" said Jason with excitement.
"He was ugly before now he is beautiful.." .Lorenzo said
We have never heard Andy speak so much till Bumpy came out....
 Bumpy tickled Pierre's nose.........
 Jingjing tried calming Bumpy.......
We had to take Bumpy outside

It was really sad to say goodbye to Bumpy the caterpillar who was now a beautiful monarch butterfly.

Gursimran and Jingjing watched Bumpy sadly before he flew off to new adventures.
